Crowds of attendees filling the aisles between gaming booths at the ICE London 2019 expo floor.

ICE London 2019 was one of the biggest events in the iGaming sector for the first half of 2019, and Language Bear was there!

In the months leading up to this event our writers wrote a huge number of previews and press releases and our editors proofed a number of quotes. It was a big event for our clients, and one that we just had to attend, so we took several team members along, met clients in person, spoke with industry experts, and even had some fun (in a strictly professional manner, of course!)

ICE London

ICE is a showcase for the iGaming sector, one that attracts the biggest developers and operators. It is held at the ExCel exhibition center in East London, a stone’s throw from Canary Wharf, and it is sponsored by the likes of Aristocrat, 888, BetSoft, iSoftBet, Microgaming and NetEnt—it’s a veritable who’s who of online gambling.

You don’t need to be an industry expert to visit this event and you definitely don’t need to own a big casino or development company. It’s open to everyone who’s interested, and it’s an event that we definitely recommend to anyone with any kind of connections to the online gaming industry.

ICE London is held every year and attracts more than 30,000 attendees and over 8,000 operators from over 150 countries. Few events come close to matching ICE for sheer size and importance, and that’s why we made it our mission to attend in 2019.

It’s also why you’ll probably see us at all future events, including ICE London 2020. If you’re going to be attending ICE London 2020, make sure you keep an eye out for us.

ICE London 2019

The 2019 event of this showcase was one of the biggest yet and attending gave us some essential insight into the industry. A lot of the work that we do revolves around sports, gaming and gambling.

We write/translate reviews, news articles, guides and more relating to gambling. By attending events like ICE London 2019, we’re able to prime for this work by immersing ourselves into the industry and mingling with its leading players.

We visited some of the biggest showcases held by leading brands, who we have written about many times in the past. Many gamers are big fans of these developers and being able to step-up to their booths and see what they are doing now, and what they have planned for the future, means our writers can prepare for future pieces.

It also gives our sales staff some essential information that they can relay to our many writers and editors, as well as first-hand industry experience that they can use to advise our clients.
